USDA Improves School Meals

Good to see our First Lady, Michelle Obama and Agricultural Secretary, Tom Vilsack working together to improve the quality of our elementary school meals that over 32 million of our children partake in every year. Anyone Ever Teach You How to Run?

Probably not. Nobody ever taught you how to walk either. Fact probably is, nobody ever taught you how to do a lot of things that there may be a better way to do (including eating). I know when I started my weight release journey the idea of running was right up there with giving my eyeball a paper-cut and putting lemon juice eye drops in right after.

Well, over 100lbs later, I actually enjoy going for a run every now and then even though the vast majority of my exercise is simply walking, but there are better ways to run.

So…if you feel like running (and if you don’t then don’t sweat it, do it when you’re ready) check out this article in the New York Times that explains a better way to run and how you can practice right in your own living room. This was created by Peter Larson, a evolutionary biologist at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire

It’s called 100 up running and it’s fast, easy and fun (and easier on your back)…my eternal promise.

Despair and Hope
